Crumpled Wall Panels began with a simple idea: take a sheet of paper, roll it into a ball, then flatten it out again.
Using Matt Hill's signature polygon form, each panel captures the creases, folds and fractured planes of crumpled paper, transforming an everyday gesture into a bold sculptural wall surface. Made from Corten steel, the panels weather naturally over time, developing a rich rusted finish with subtle shifts in tone and colour. As the light changes, the folded surfaces reveal new shadows, highlights and depth.
Every panel is fully customisable and completely bespoke — no two panels, or walls, are ever the same, with creases able to be worked into the design to suit the space. Panels can be attached to fence posts, block walls or existing framework, and material selection is adapted to suit the climate of each installation.
Each wall is unique, suited to gardens, courtyards, entrances, privacy screens or architectural spaces.
