Ascend is a collection of three illuminated Corten steel sculptures, featuring sharp, angular forms that rise organically from the landscape.
Inspired by natural growth and movement, the sculptures create a striking architectural presence, with their layered steel profiles revealing different perspectives as visitors move around them.
Integrated programmable LED lighting transforms the installation after dark, with a different lighting scheme each evening. The interplay of colour, light and shadow brings a constantly evolving dimension to the sculptures, creating a dynamic focal point within the landscaped grounds of a residential aged care development.
Designed to engage visitors both day and night, Ascend combines sculptural form, architectural presence and technology to create an ever-changing visual experience.
“Ascend brings a strong sculptural identity to the Hampton Park development. The forms have a striking presence during the day, then take on an entirely different character after dark through the changing light. The installation has become a distinctive and welcoming landmark for residents, visitors and staff.”
